Louis Atkins is conducting important research for his University of the West of England dissertation on Life Cycle Costing in residential developments, examining the gap between theory and practice with a focus on public vs. private sector approaches. The research investigates why LCC remains underutilised despite decades of industry guidance and examines how post-Grenfell regulations have influenced lifecycle planning.
