Chris joined an event hosted by Burgess Salmon and Ridge exploring the legal and design impacts of the Building Safety Act (BSA) 2022, especially in relation to Higher Risk Buildings. The BSA introduces new duties for all building works and represents a step change in the design and control of information to maintain building safety. The panel discussed how design teams should consider new duties, and ensure all parties are competent to carry out their responsibilities. We hope this act will be a positive change for the industry, enabling the management of design information at the earliest stages of project delivery.
