This morning, we attended the Curtins construction industry seminar on Building a Sustainable Future for Bristol at the Watershed, in collaboration with Bristol City Council and the Centre for Cities. The seminar covered key topics, including anticipated changes to the National Planning Policy Framework and Bristol City Council’s upcoming Local Plan. The panel also shared insights into the region’s transportation and infrastructure challenges and opportunities, highlighting solutions like SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) and the role of SAB (Sustainable Approval Bodies) in Wales. The event concluded with reflections on integrating sustainable design in shaping Bristol’s future.
